This teacher-focused, free professional development Teacher Talk session will focus on helping teachers to use robotics in hybrid learning environments.
We will discuss hybrid learning environments where students and teachers are not co-located, and where students do not have Hummingbird Kits or Finches at home, but are still able to program real robots remotely from their homes!
Our founder, Tom Lauwers, will demonstrate how you and your students don’t need to have robots at home – you can program the robots we’ve built! We’ll also discuss how you can build your own Remote Robot for your students to program, and cover micro:bit classroom, a tool that enables you to view your students’ work as they learn coding remotely.
Erin Whitaker, a middle school technology coordinator from Sewickley Academy, will join us to share what she learned from teaching with Remote Robots this Spring, as well.
Participants will be able to program our Remote Robots in real time during the webinar. Join us to explore how accessible this tool can be for your hybrid classrooms!
Teacher Talk webinars are free for anyone to attend. Register below to attend on Zoom, or catch our live stream on Facebook. Registration closes 1 hour prior to class, so be sure to register before then!
