If you haven’t gone through the video courses that teach you how to set up and program your Hummingbird kit, you should do so before trying to program your #tinydrummer.
There is a course using Birdblox for tablet, iPad, Kindle, and smartphone users and a course using MakeCode for computer and Chromebook users
Here are links to the BirdBlox code we built in the video translated into Makecode:
- Single-Armed Drummer: https://makecode.microbit.org/_a0rD5DJY7VuU
- Multi-Armed Drummer: https://makecode.microbit.org/_ckPLWp1WHcHg
- Make sure you note what angle represents “up” for your drummer’s arm, and what angle represents “down.” (It will be different than the angles represented in the video).
- If your arm is not oriented correctly, you can pop the servo horn off and physically reposition it, or fix it through coding.
- What should you do next?
- After you make your drummer share it with us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) with the tags: @birdbraintech, #hummingbirdkit, and #tinydrummer. We can’t wait to see what you make!
- Join an upcoming webinar. See all upcoming webinars here: www.birdbraintechnologies.com/roboticsathome
